Who can attend Attleborough Day Centre?
Our Centre is open to, and provides a meeting place, for older people who may be living alone or are socially isolated, who may require a high level of support from their family or carers, who may be physically frail or disabled, with dementia, mild learning disability or mental health problems and who are in need of support and social stimulation.
Is there an age limit for coming to Attleborough Day Centre?
No, we are a service for older people and for people who are living with a condition normally associated with age ie. dementia or Parkinson's disease.
Does Attleborough Day Centre accept private referrals?
Yes, we accept referrals from individuals and their carers as well as from other professionals ie. GP's, nurses and social workers. Places can be funded a number of ways including self funded as well as through a personal budget from adult social services.
Can I visit the Centre before booking a place to see if I like it? Yes, we offer a free trial day to see if the Centre is for you and to assess whether we can meet your needs. We would need to complete our assessment form before booking a trial day. If you would like to drop in for a cup of tea, give us a call and we will put the kettle on!
What days are day care available at Attleborough Day Centre? Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (except bank holidays).
Is transport available at Attleborough Day Centre?
Yes, we have our own wheelchair accessible minibus that picks up in and around Attleborough. The cost of this varies dependent on where you live, based on distance from the Day Centre.
What sort of activities happen at Attleborough Day Centre?
We have a variety of activities happening at the Day Centre; board games, puzzles and quizzes, bingo and beetle drive, crafts, gardening, flower arranging and baking as well as chair based exercises, live music and entertainment.
