What else we offer
Come along just for lunch. We can offer a two course lunch prepared fresh by our cook. All you have to do is give us a call to book your place (24 hours notice usually required).
We offer a bathing service for those individuals who may not be able to have a bath in their home. Please contact the Centre for more information.
For a small charge, our mini-bus can pick you up from your home and drop you at Sainburys to do your shopping, then drop you home again (currently available in Attleborough each Thursday and Friday subject to demand).
Outreach Befriending service
We offer a befriending service to help combat loneliness and promote the well-being of older people living in and around Attleborough. Our befrienders visit people in their homes to provide companionship, chat and play games (e.g. scrabble, cards etc.). Perhaps you know an older person who might benefit from this service.
Our Befriending service is currently free of charge for those individuals that meet our criteria. Please contact the Centre for more information.
Attleborough Day Centre has taken over the running of the Dementia Café on the fourth Friday of each month between 10.30am and 12.30pm. If you have dementia, or you are caring for someone with dementia, come along to the café for a cup of tea and a chat. Alzheimer's Society will continue to offer Dementia support and we can help to signpost you to an appropriate service. We have speakers throughout the year from a variety of organisations.
Staff will be available to provide advice and support. For more information call the Day Centre on 01953 454613
